About FurbKit. A lab for shoes that earned their wear.
FurbKit started in a one-car garage with a brass brush, a bottle of pH-balanced foam, and a pair of 1985 Jordan 1s that looked done for. They weren't. After nine hours of controlled cleaning, hand-conditioning and sole de-oxidation, the pair came back — creases and all, history intact.
That became the whole idea: sneakers aren't disposable. Every scuff has a story, and the job of a care lab isn't to erase it — it's to stop the damage and preserve the character. Today the FurbKit studio handles hundreds of pairs a month, and every formula we use in-house ships in the kits we sell.

Chemistry over scrubbing
Dirt lifts when the formula is right. We tune pH and surfactant load per material — suede, nubuck, mesh, full-grain — so the brush never does damage.
Preserve, don't plastic-wrap
We don't freeze sneakers in time. We clean, condition and protect so the pair keeps aging honestly instead of cracking in a box.
Open protocol
Every kit ships with the exact step sheet used at our bench. No secret sauce — the sauce is in the bottle, and the bottle is in the kit.

Inspect & tag
Each pair gets photographed, tagged and material-mapped before anything touches it. Weak glue and bleeding dye are flagged here.

Dry brush & foam bath
Loose dirt comes off dry first. Then a foamed, pH-balanced clean in sections — never a soak, never hot water.

Detail & condition
Midsole edges, stitching lines and lace channels get hand-detailed; leather gets conditioned so it flexes instead of creasing hard.

Air dry & protect
Shaped, stuffed and air-dried away from heat, then finished with a breathable protectant matched to the material.
